We are the Akre family, Brian, Jenna, Elouise, Oliver, Odin, and Emmitt. We are a young family of six living in Northern Minnesota on a farm that has been in Jenna’s family for 5 generations. Each generation has done their own type of farming, and now it is our turn to use this beautiful land to feed ourselves, teach our children invaluable life lessons, and to share the fruits of our labor with our customers.

Everything we do is inspired by homestead living. We love when things go hand in hand and we try to insert that into our products as much as possible. We raise our animals from birth to butcher, and use as much of the animals as we can. All of our soaps and apothecary items are made on our farm with a lot of our own ingredients like raw milk, lard and beef tallow. The balms and salves have our own beeswax and honey. And many of the dried herbs and botanicals come right from our farm as well.

We love our animals and we believe they deserve the best life we can give them. They have full time access to pasture, sun and fresh air, clean water, multiple daily interaction with us and other animals on our farm. In addition to foraging in their pastures we feed a barley based grain ration, and high quality hay in the winter months.

We are firm believers in the power of knowing the farmer that raises the food/makes the product. Shortening the supply chain is beneficial to the consumer, farmer and our local economy. Thank you for being here!
